Shot this for a local bluegrass festival. According to some people I've showed it to, it's pretty bland. See what you think.

Psychology in college taught me that you should not give a negative thought before you have people eat/drink/present etc. It uncovers the negative chemical and that is what is produced in the viewer etc. So allow people to form their own conclusions. If that is you can actually get people to comment. They are so eager to d-load, and will hate on you if the file is too big or a slow server. But to give some honest helpful, or ego boosting feedback. Just the whole camel and needle thing come to mind. :) LOL

Well here are my initial thoughts.
Some shot were over CC'ed, some you have the Mids way to mid, I think that shots of the trees doesnt make sense to a BG festival. And you need a banjo in there. And speaking of banjo. The logo at the end is so low res. You need to ask for a higher res version. VO is great. and some of the shots are great, so make your CC consistent and your levels as well. The text is also hard to read. So I would drop some shadows or create a letterbox and run the titles on the bottom or top. Just my first pass impression. oh one last thing. CLEAN YOUR LENS. :)

CLEAN YOUR LENS. :)
No kidding man. Wish I had. I think I had the lens cleaner and tissue right there too...but a big part of it was that I was shooting the reflection of my lens in my polarizer, I think, as well as the lens/polo being dirty. Thanks for the rest of the feedback too, I noticed some of it after the fact but of course it's too late now.
