I posted some in this thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=104364 at 720p anyway. Here's one of them: http://www.glorycubed.com/~hpxbct/pugel.mov (http://www.glorycubed.com/%7Ehpxbct/pugel.mov)
[Sorry, just noticed you meant grab as in stills]

How did you export those stills? Whenever I export I end up with jagged edged photos like this:

Those are just straight exports from Vegas -- what are you exporting from, and what are your settings?

I'm exporting from Final Cut Pro, (it looks fine in both FCP and if opened in Quicktime) at 1280x720. Plus the file I'm exporting the still from has already been exported as a completed video (so it's not a 960X720 file).

Does it look the same exported from the original video?

are the grabs uncompressed out of your NLE? seems like they are somewhat noisy and with compression artifacts. otherwise excellent looking stuff.

Well, I tried a different file from raw footage and that was the issue. Apparently there's something weird about grabbing a still from an already exported quicktime movie. I took a screen grab of the file inside the Quicktime player so you can see the difference. I saved them via photoshop at "level 9" quality jpeg compression (the highest being 12 I believe).

Have you guys downloaded the new P2CMS? It works for mac. There's a frame grab function on the viewer. Double click on the file/shot you want to open/view. This brings up P2viewer. Then, on the bottom left of the screen there are some small icons. I don't know how to describe the icon, but just wait for a while and it should say "capture". It gives you jpeg, tiff and other format options for grabs, and they look fairly good.
This works with HVX footage, and should work with HPX...
