You aren't gonna find a host for free - and with UNLIMITED BANDWITH! That's for sure...

I use Dreamhost, they are studs. Cheap ($7.95/month) , and lots of storage (2.4 GB) + bandwith (120 GB)!

I'm using playstream.com for their windows media streaming services. They are great -- I pay $22/mo for 4gb of bandwidth and 100mb of storage a month.

I was tempted to switch to Dreamhost -- crazy prices! Almost too good to be true but alas they don't support windows media streaming and I needed to stick with streaming window media -- Dreamhost uses quicktime and realmedia for streaming.

I sent this question to DreamHost and the guy answered within 5 minutes. They have quite a sale going on now for hosting. I suppose there is a difference between on-demand streaming and webcasting. If you're just hosting a bunch of vid clips, then on-demand should work fine and cheaper.

in canada there's a company called dotcanada.com, there service is 50gb Band + 1gb stor for 12.95 CAD, but if you have a costco business membership they have a deal with costco and you get 200GB Band + 5GB Stor for 8.95 CAD including Free Domain..... now that's a sweet deal.....for any Canadians with a bus Costco membership.....

I use eleven2.com, its ridiculously cheap. It's like 2 gigs storage, 50gb bandwidth per month, $90 year. maybe less check it out.

I spent most of last weekend looking for a web host with the same thought in mind, storing video for download. Somewhere in all that research I read that web hosts prefer not to have clients use their services mostly for storing.

This is my first web site so I don't know what I'm doing yet. I did notice that some support video streaming and some don't. Some might not support any kind of video. I am still confused on this point.

Judging from the previous posts, the prices on web hosting must be coming down fast. I signed up for one with 5gb storage and 100gb bandwidth. My total cost for domain registration and hosting for one year was $70.50, which works out to $5.88 a month.

I'm dying to see how well I can get this to work.
