The rumor I've heard is that they will be making a new trilogy, set in the future showing just the war. Which I could get behind, if done correctly.
Thoughts?

Cool. I always wanted to see more of the War.

I heard about that direction for T4 years ago. We'll see how it pans out. They've been talking about it forever so hopefully its actually gonna happen now.

Well with Jurassic Park 4, Rambo 4...maybe in the future we'll have a "summer of the fourquils".

With that and enough re-makes, it could be probably be Hollywood's darkest hour.

If it has either of the two dweebs that have played John Connor in 2 and 3 it will suck no matter how cool the effects are!

Done well, this could be OK. (You may want to filter this whole post through the fact that I actually didn't mind T3 despite being convinced going in that it would totally suck without Cameron, though. :) ) What I would like to see (and it sounds like the "Sarah Connor Chronicles" may be going in this direction as well) is less "Ahnuld" Terminators and more that are actually designed the way the Terminator was originally described, as "infiltration" units. The only Terminator we've ever seen that really worked in that capacity was the T-1000 in T2, and that only because of its "mimic" capabilities. Kristanna Loken was just too freakin' hot, and as for the Governor... well, as I've said to friends, in the post-apocalyptic future, one would assume that there would be a noticeable shortage of Bowflex machines for him (and his buddy who played the Terminator in Reese's dream in the first movie) to achieve that buff physique with. :D I sometimes wonder what the original film would have been like if Cameron had stuck with Lance Henriksen as the Terminator... (OK, yeah, probably a flop, but ya never know. :) )

Aww come on, you know that Arnold IS the franchise. Any Terminator movie without him is going to seem like a cheap rip-off and will tank tremendously, assuming it's not going straight to DVD, which would be a sad end.

Bah, you don't need Bowflex machine when you're dodging bullets on a daily basis. Fighting for your lives really worked out those abs you know:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG).

I'm a fan of the franchise. I welcome this.

That would be Franco Columbu, former Mr. Olympia, Mr. Universe, World Champion powerlifter, and Ph D. in nutrition, amongst other things.
Arnold gives him small parts in many of his films...except for the one where he plays the Governor of California.

Probably? I'm sorry but we're already 45 minutes in.
No Arnold? No fun. T3 was much worse than the first 2. T4 will make money, but, seriously, without the vision of Cameron, will never be up to par.
