Hey guys,
I've made the decision to buy the Pan HPX500 but still nervous on the editing software/hardware that are compatible and most reliable on the mxf files that the 500 uses. Advices from those of you who had used and edit footages of the 500 will be greatly appreciated.

I know Panasonic list a few compatable edit programs but which one truly stands out with less headaches when it comes to real life editing situations.

Thanks a bunch in advance.

I am not a mac person at all but unfortunately i have to say that FCP handles most if not all of the formats that the hpx500 can shoot

I am on PC,
not knowing much about the HPX yet, i use EDIUS for about one year with footage from the HVX, native working, very fast performance and great P2 implementation..check the new Trial on canopus.com...definitly worth it to try....!

Thanks guys.

I'm not a Mac guy either so I'll give Edius a shot. I've read lots of great things about Edius.

Me too for about one year now, never dissapoint me.

We Own the HVX200 and made several TV shows and cinema features in DVCpro 100 (the same HPX500 codec), blow up to 35 mm, OK!

I'm trying now the CS3 Pre pro with Cine form, let you kow later about.

The files are exactly the same in every respect as the files from using the HVX200.

I use Vegas with Raylight.
