External LCD issue's.

All I'm getting are horizontal lines running across my 7" LCD. If I point the camera at a light, or put something in front of it, I can see the overall change on the LCD, but with horizontal line's running up and down the screen.

Anybody know anything about these type's of things??

Should I toss it, or could it possibly be fixed?

are your connections good and solid?
DIYing connectors can be tricky...perhaps solder

Also make sure that your monitor is getting the correct power. A lot of small monitors will exhibit what you are describing if they aren't getting what they need power wise.
