Hey guys,

I got an HVX loaned out to me from my school and I'm trying to import some footage but have ran into some problems. The footage shot is 720p / 60p and the timeline and import settings are set for that. I'm importing right from the dump drive, and I can see the clip when I open the import window, but when I try and import the clips, all I get is audio, no video. Anyone ever had any trouble with this or know how to fix it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Oh, and I'm running on a Mac G5 Power PC w/ 2.0 dual GHZ processors, QT 7.0, and Final cut Pro Version 5.0.4.

Exactly "how" are import settings set for 720/60p?

In 5.0.4, there isn't a way to "set" importing settings for p2 cards.

It's "import p2 volume" and the DVCProHD codec must be installed.

The import settings are set via the easy setup menu.

As for setting the import for the p2 cards I have an option to import p2 cards, as you can see. Perhaps those are the volumes you are referring to but this is my first time importing p2 so I your guess would be better than mine.

Do you still suggest I Install the dvcproHD code? Also where can I download that from?

Thanks

If it helps, even when I try to view the clips in the p2 store manager, in almost every card there is exactly one pink exclamation point. Could anyone clarify what that exclamation point means?

Do you have a LASTCLIP.TXT file and six folders in the p2 volume you are trying to import?
