still image capture - how to control picture size?

Sony Video Capture 6 allows capture of still images live from my fire-wire connected video camera, great, that works fine, but to my surprise the resulting pictures are only 393 x 288 pixels - I'd have expected 720 x 576 (matching my PAL project).

I've looked but can't see any way to control the still image size - anyone have any ideas?

I have no problems capturing 720 x 576 stills in other applications like StopMotion Pro, so presume the problem is within Vegas.

Change the preview screen to "Best (Full)" before taking the snapshot.

No, I'm not talking about the 'Save snapshot to File' function on the preview window, I mean capturing from a live video source via File > Capture Video (which launches Sony Video Capture)

Would probably be the same problem. Make sure the preview is full sized.

yup, thanks, that does seem to be it - a bigger preview does result in a bigger image captured
