How bout Spike Jonze( who Ty wishes he was)
How about French Fred , Soc , John Holland , Jason Hernandez,Rob"Whiety"McConnaughy and the king of the east Dan Wolf .
Ty is by far not the leading he and his euro dance mix tracks make some nice shots but to put the worlds leading and title him like that just aint true.

How the hell could spike be the worlds leading filmer?
The last film he filmed was video days, all others he has mealy directed or played other rolls in producing the films. Not filmed!

The only other person out of those who compares would be french fred.

how about the stuff spike is doing now with Gonz and others.
Spike has been filming skate stuff since video days just either doesnt put his name on it or just gives it up to friends.
you need to get your facts in before you speak .
and video days is good enoguh for me to put Spike on the leader board.
most video nowadays dont even come close
how many johnny no names doing carcus hucks doing hollywood high and spot x are fun to watch or even filmed by someone who has a working knowledge of the camera and how to use it,
everykid out there has a vx and a .3 but more then half of them dont know how to set the right exposure or set up shots.
yeah filming friends is fun and the whoel reson skate /snow surf and all vids exist but if your going to sell them and call your self a filmer at least RTFM.

Chill out Filmbot. If you're gonna put Whitey in there as better than Ty then I'm not fully backing your list. All of those people can shoot really nice stuff. I think the fact that you got so worked up about this is pretty funny. I do agree that Spike is good and probably should be first on the list. Conception and creativity should be right next to camera skills. What about Greg Hunt??
P.S. I really like Whitey and his work, especially when he uses a tripod, his stuff looks great. (inside joke). Seriously though all of those people can and do shoot some amazing stuff. I think you see Ty's name more so people just put him up there and rightfully so.
