I ran across a site advertising PCMCIA card readers, and I was wondering if they would work with the P2 cards, they look they read a wide range of flash based memory cards and accept almost all the different sizes. Does anyone know if this would work the P2, or does panasonic have some special patent that would not allow it to? here is a link for the sie http://www.addonics.com/products/flash_memory_reader/ae4udd.asp

It needs to be a 32-bit card reader for Type II PC Cardbus.

In two years I've been here, I've not seen one that will work

No inexpensive/cheap USB or firewire reader will work. Ever. It has to be specifically designed to work with a P2 card, and if it was designed specifically to work with P2 cards, it'd say so.

What about the adapters which allow the P2 size cards to be read by the smaller PCI xpress slots? http://www.psism.com/duel_adapter.htm

This isn't a "smaller PCI Xpress lot."

It's a cardbus to Expresscard/34 reader.

Do a search and you will see that the newest drivers for osX are out, and some of the issues associated with the card and drivers.
