Video Capture has stopped working, please help

I recently bought a sony vaio laptop and have been running vegas 6.0 on it (originally worked great on my pc) But now all kinds of problems seem to pop up, most notably the video capture. Every time i go to capture video i get an error message that says video capture has stopped working and cannot find a solution. any ideas? I've reinstalled both vidcap and vegas and it still continues to occur. I run on Vista.

I've had the problem a few times, I had to restart the camcorder and reboot windows. After that, it worked... not sure if that will help you or not.

Get out one of your old XP discs and get Vista off your laptop. That'll probably help you ten fold down the line.
