I finished this rod support about two months ago, but it's only since yesterday since it had a black finish. So now it's worth showing :)
Built for less than 20 Euro with regular plumbing tools found at a local hardware store. I built it to hold my Letus FE and soon I will create a quick-release shoulder mount for it. Oh, and a mattebox/shade. And a DIY dolly - I bought two second hand skates yesterday. So there's a lot to do! :)
Here are some pictures:

Looks cool!
And 20€ is even cooler;o)!
OT: Which shockmount is that?

That is absolutely beautiful. Very nice work. I will inspect your pics and attempt the same.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks! :)
It's a Rycote (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/407105-REG/Rycote_037307_Large_Hole_Softie_Mount.html) shock mount, which I only use when the hot shoe is occupied by the VidLED. Usually I use a Rode shock mount there because it's placed a bit handier and it absorbs shocks better.

İt looks like a nice work, how about posting some detailed parts photos, if it's not a big problem?
thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

Some 15mm rods are on 60mm centers and others are on 100mm centers. Depends on the brand of mattebox, follow focus unit, etc. you are planing on using.

Please give lots and lots of details on how to make these.
That'd be great. How long did it take?
go for 60. 100mm is usually for big 35mm cameras. More often you will need 60mm.

Any way you might be able to put up a parts list? A DIY rod system would save a lot of us mucho-dinero.

I would love to see a parts list in the very least - from there, putting something together will be less problematic.

OP posted this thread 9 months ago and never came back to tell us what parts he used?
Tease!
