What the heck might be going wrong with my P2 cards. I used three 8GB cards on the weekend to record an event in 720P. I was able to watch the footage on camera fine that day but now when I am trying to offload to my PC I cannot get the files to play. Everytime I hit play, I get an error saying "cannot play clip error". I'm able to record a new clip and it will play fine but nothing from my weekend footage. I have about 23 minutes of vintage cars that I'd really like to use but worried that the footage is corrupt for some reason. I've had no luck searching this site or the internet for that error message. No response from Panasonic tech support yet.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Craig

OK, so I'm a little bashful to admit but I seem to have figured it out. Is it true that you need to be in the same record mode as the files recorded, to be able to watch? I recorded all my footage in 720P/60P yet I am playing with the different settings as the camera is very new to me. I had changed the record settings to 720P/30PN and for whatever reason the camera wouldn't play back my other footage. Is this normal? What is the reasoning for this?

Yes you do need to have the camera set to the specific format you are shooting to be able to watch it back.. Why? I'm really not sure of the technical reason.. Just that if you don't do it.. it don't work.. :-)
Odd thing is I never get an ERROR message.. Just a red thingy..

Yeah, given that the camera knows what settings you used to record, why can't it simply configure itself for those settings for the duration of the playback?
It's like compilers that tell you about a missing semicolon or parenthesis with a little marker showing exactly where it it expected it -- if it knows what is missing and where, why can't it just put it there? (I wonder how many will get this)
