Hi,
We're making a 5 min comedy that has a cool story, shooting June 5th and 6th weekend for sure, but maybe shooting this coming Sunday (30th) as well.
Firstly, we're looking for a DP with an easy-going, up-beat personality who knows the DVX100 camera really well and can get the most out of limited time and limited gear.
It'll be 1/2 exteriors and 1/2 interiors, with a small Arri light kit package and maybe like one C-stand, black flag, and bounce board at your dispoal.
Composition, camera operation, and storytelling skills are more important here than producing a slick look (it's just a comedy folks). If you have a reel that demonstrates these skills, that's great.
We can provide the camera (it's the original not the A version)
Would like to meet sometime before to go over storyboards and schedule.
Anyway, it's a chance to do something fun that's going to show at a local hip festival. And, who knows, it could lead to paid work (since we sometimes do corporate videos)
We're also looking for a SPECIAL EFFECTS SUPERVISOR/DESIGNER, a PROP/COSTUME person, and some GRIPS/CAMERA ASSISTANTS.
