My editor is going to change to a new editing program and has it narrowed down to Premier or Vegas.

I'll be using a DVX100B for a feature length film using the 24fps feature.

I'd LOVE to hear the opinions of folks who are familiar with one or both of these programs and get their 2 cents!

Thanks a ton in advance!!!

I have used both Vegas up to V7 as well as Premiere Pro2 for music videos and weddings.

In Premiere I prefer the interface and the fact that it has built in multicam editing, and timeline nesting, integration with After effects and audition

The only thing I miss in Vegas is the audio features

Vegas has timeline nesting. It's also better for 24p.

Its more of a Project nesting, Vegas has a single timeline per project,

I've never considered opening more than one project in an editing app; is this common ?

You can run multiple instances of Vegas simultaniously if you feel the need to have several projects open.

And alternatively I am able to move files from one to the other quite simply including transitions, pan crop, effects, audio envelopes, et al

Much better than another project cluttering up one app.
