Hi Everyone,

I will be cinematographer/camera op and editor for a 60min treatment film called "Road to Victory" being shot mainly in Vancouver starting November 1, 2004.

The Director/Producer, Mike Reilly, is looking for someone who has experience with the Panasonic DVX100 and is good at lighting for Digital Video and who will also be a 2nd camera operator.

The job will be 2 weeks of pre-production time, and 4 weeks (22 shooting days) of principle photography.

He is offering $2500 USD for this job.

This will be a two-camera DVX100 shoot. We will be using mattebox/follow-focus/16:9 Panasonic lenses for both cameras. If you have your own DVX100, that would be great.

Please forward your demo reel link (or send me a DVD of your work) and contact information to me if you are interested.

Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Elvis,

Basically, he wants to see and discuss with you the pre-production stuff for 2 weeks (not everyday...)...

The 4 weeks (acutally 22 shooting days), he wants you to be there for shooting as 2nd camera op and lighting.

Taylor,

For sure man! I will definitely tell him about you and your services :) Actually, I talked about you before to him many times!

Hi Taylor,

Let's hook up for sure!

Why are you coming into Van? Is there a certain day(s) and times you can and cannot meet? We'll figure something out.

Taylor, what equipment do you have? You have the Glidecam V-8? Does it work nicely with the DVX? Mike was planning on getting the Magiqcam SeriesII steady device that looks very similar to the V8.

I let the director know via phone just now. He's a great guy. He's really looking forward to meeting with you and he asked if you could bring a long a demo reel DVD of somesort. I told him you did a lot of stuff for many big clients before and that you owned a few anim/media schools in Alberta before.

Anyway, talk to you soon!

This sounds interesting. What has he produced before? Also, what is the plan for this film after it's done?

Say, maybe you can email me at audio90@shaw.ca. Always interested to meet other filmmakers.
