What do you use to help adjust the iris and determine if it is properly adjusted? The zebra? Is there anything else to gauge this from?

zebra is a great tool, but a good calibrated monitor makes life even easier - and one with a waveform monitor makes life really really easy. But for the most part (if I've got people in the shot) I set my zebra to 80% and keep the skin tones just below that. Some people use 70, 75, alot of its taste and the color of the skin you are working with.
