I searched because this must have been asked a zillion times but no matter
how I worded the search I did not find what must be a simple answer.

After having my HVX-200 for almost a year and having done a lot with it, I am
just now getting to wanting to load the scene files from the CD in Barry's book
onto an SD card. It doesn't seem to say how to do this in the book, probably
because it's really simple.

My guess is that I put the CD into the computer, print the settings, then
put the SD card into the camera and manually input the numbers for each file
and save them to the card. Is that right or is there a simpler way?

Thanks.

Take a look at the README.TXT file on the CD, it explains where to place the files on the SD card. You'll need a SD card reader on your computer to do this.

Thanks, guys, I was hoping that I could do something like a drop and
drag. I have a MacBookPro and had brought the CD into the store and
asked but they didn't know. This helps a lot though.

I have an Express card slot but I 'll find out if I have an SD card reader.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, it is a drag-and-drop operation, and the README.TXT file tells you where to drop the files. The problem is that in order to do this, you need to be able to write to the SD card from your computer.

If you don't have a separate SD card reader, you may be able to use a printer, LCD display or digital camera to do this if it accepts SD cards.

That's a great suggestion, thanks! I think that it should work with my digital
camera. I've just finished working and I can't stay awake, as much as I want to
check that out right now, but I'll do it first thing tomorrow and report how it goes.

All you need is a digital camera that mounts as a mass storage device on your computer -- if it shows up on your desktop, you can drag the scene files on the SD card.
