I'm about to start a project using the HVX200 with the Firestore FS 100. The thing is that the Firestore firmware is old and doesnt record in 24pN.

So we already ordered the firmware 3.0 cd but we are starting monday and maybe the firmware arrives later.

So my question is, would be a problem later in editing if we start shooting in 720/24p and then when we update the firmware at the middle of the shooting continue it using 720/24pN ?

Would there be a noticeable video difference (motion, colors?) between them?
Would there be any problem in the timeline sequence in FC or Avid if we combine these clips? (24p and 24pN) Like in render or something "weird"?

The thing is that we don't have a lot of HD storage either for the clips, so we would need those 24pN for space reasons. Itīs and independent limited production.

What do you recommend?

Thank you so much!

no difference. They are both 24p.

The 24pn is just an abbreviated way to record 24p. (unused frames not recorded)

Once in the NLE they are the same.
