I have frecently purchased the HVX 200 camera and would like to be able to make slower, smoother zoom moves with it. The factory-set slowest speed is 30 seconds from wide to tele, or tele to wide. Adding the Bebob or Vari-zoom remote controllers does not change this, it simply allows access to the camera's zoom circuit without touching the camera. Has anyone found a way to make the zoom move more slowly?

As you have probably realized the zoom function on top of the handle has 3 swwitch settings. Slow, medium and fast. However the Zoom rocker along with the plug-in handle rockers from vari-zoom and bebob, are variable, depending on how hard you press on the rocker. So you can get a really slow zoom if you hold the rocker on just a little bit. It does take some practice to get it smooth.

The only thing I can think of for slowing down the zoom is to use manual, mechanical zoom. However, the zoom is very touchy and getting smooth responses is very difficult and requires lots of practice.
