I'm shooting a mini movie on DVX100A at the end of September in Orange County. Was planning on doing it all myself, but would love to bring on someone. Very low budget, but this sucker will be for sale in Orange County stores with high potential of a distro deal. Movie features a well known local band, so your work is definitely going to be seen. There is also very good chance that Corey Feldman will play a small role in it (you may not think that's a big deal, but I idolized the guy when I was a kid), but please don't base your decision on that, in case it falls through. I'm friends with Corey, though, and it's looking hopeful.
I say mini movie, because the length will be around 45 minutes. Would love to have someone aboard that knows a few things about lighting and camera operating and how they tie together. I'm a graduate of Chapman University's film school, but never was one for learning the technical stuff (short attention span)... I just wanted to write and direct. Foolish, yes, I know... that's why I would love your help. I own a dvx100a, boom mic, and a small light kit. At the end of the movie, we will also be shooting a music video.
if you'll only do it for payment, please still contact me, just in case my options are limited, but i really would like someone who would just like to add to their credentials... especially since this sucker will be sold around the area and online. And the band will be using the music video to shop around to major labels, so that's a plus, right?
