I had the opportunity to shoot some Mustangs. Please check out my feeble edit here and tell me what you think. Please download to your hard drive if you can. thanks.

oh... and I finally got the P2 Store for this one. It was expensive but it was nice to have.

Beautiful footage! You picked a good time of day to take advantage of the late afternoon light.

What other gear did you have? Looks like a jib and car mount -- what else? Was this a paid gig?

Snap. Very nice footage.

The ONE interior shot was the peg leg. Everything else was extremely nice!

What framreate was this at?

Thanks! We shot between 7am and 10am ish on two days. We had a Jib, a car tray, a super sucker (for the driver perspective) and most importantly an air cushioned 'insert car' or camera truck (with a good driver). Not only was it fairly smooth but also it had rails (for mounting a head) all over the place on it (up high, low, front center back) you name it ... pretty much any angle was possible. I also used OIS sometimes to remove some remaining vibration.

Yes! Isn't it amazing? It was a paid gig! I can't believe it myself sometimes. Ever since I was a kid I have really enjoyed shooting cars. Must be the 'Detroit' thing.

I agree about the one dash shot... i'll see if I can swap that one out. I hope you don't mean the stick shift shot cause i like that one. 30P.

I wonder how a SRT4 (Glorified Neon) with stage 2 and toys would do against a Shelby Gt.

Good video, I think to polish that off I would create a some V.O. and then use the fast end part of the music where it is all fast to really throw a lot of clips in. Of course it all depends on the purpose of what you shot the footage for and why, would determine what step you need to take. But if it was just for fun than it is GREAT the way it is. Also what carmount did you use?

Ah, yes, shooting in the morning instead of the evening makes much more sense -- you don't have to worry about baking the crew and equipment, and gusty windws and mirage aren't a problem (although the latter has some cool uses).

I'm feeling that old "time for a test drive" itch. I wonder if Bondurant has the new Shelby.

We had two car mounts. A "Super Sucker" which is basically a one large suction cup with a vacum button to pump the air out. This we mounted on the hood for the driver perspective shots. Then we had a "tray" which is similar to a A&W food tray that mounts on the side hanging out the window. This we used for both tire shots (front and back).

This is just my feeble personal edit for kicks. However the agency that hired me is most likely going to blow my edit out of the water. I'll link to that once they get it done.

I really like it! What were your camera settings?

Y'know not much other than Master Ped - 2 and Chroma +2. 720 30p. I did really mess with it in post however.

Oh yeah? If you don't mind me asking what kind of stuff did you do in post? I have a project that is very similar to what you had and I want a look like what you have achieved. Particularly, I like the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shots because they have a Top Gear-ish feel to them.

I think the Shelby would rip the glorified Neon a new asshole.

well said

The footage was beautiful........

However (and maybe this is just me) but I would much rather hear the soud of those awesome cars rather than some generic bluegrass music.

how's this? This is the CC settings for the 2nd shot. Most of the rest were some variation of this idea - maybe not so much saturation. On most I pushed the blacks and highs slightly into the CY/B area also.

yeah, that's what I been hearing. The agency is going to do some whip engine noise/tire squelin' edit. I'll link to that once i get word of it. I was just too lazy to edit sound. I told you it was feeble.

Sick. it's so clean that I didn't think you did much in post, either.

Again, nice footage. I can dig it!
