You can attach any nikon to the nikon mount. The dx lenses will not project a large enough image for the dvx to capture though.
What lens is that?

We need to know more about the lens. It would physically mount, but some types of Nikon lenses are not suitable for the SGpro, namely, the DX and G series.

looks like an AF camera... so Im guessing no.
you want a older film camera's lens... not newer AF's
manual focus lenses is what you want

AF lenses will work but they have a much shorter throw on the focus ring than the older manual lenses.

you need to spend some time and read the stickied threads in the 35 adapter section.
With your dvx you focus on the ground glass and you use the focus ring on the 35mm lens.

so all i need to buy is the sgpro, the rails, and i can use the focus on my 35mm? (or 50)

You focus with the Nikkor lens... you tape your dvx focus off so you cant disturb the other lens... after you have everything else calibrated. You also need another viewfinder [lcd] so you can see your focus better. Then you might be looking for a FF.

I think you should start by reading and understanding this thread first, to get a solid idea of how a 35mm adapter functions:
