Every 8months or so I try to put together a demo reel of sorts for viewers (potenial hires) to my website to see some fresh stuff and showing we are still working :)

I have only showed one of my very good friends this, and since I consider all of you friends I wanted to get your opinons as well.

great work. Exactly what I need to do and have been putting off. Very eclectic mix and shows such a wide range of productions. Congrats on this and I hope to get around to doing it myself.

Like the intro a lot and the whole purpose for this. So when ya gonna bring me to Colorado to shoot some snowboarding? Shameless plug..

CONGRATS!!!

looked great to me. the 1080 stuff was sharp as a tack man. you definitely have enough to reel in new clients.

Good Reel!

This is my first post. No footage to show yet since I haven't got an HVX yet. Hopefully soon though.

I only had a few nitpicks. 1.) In the opening title, the tracking of the text is kinda jittery. If you're using the final cut suite, I find that motion does a smoother job with that kind of thing than keyframing it in final cut itself. 2.) The Tarantino quote was a little to quick to read. I don't know how important that is to you. 3.) You probably included too much footage in the documentaries, industrial, and stock footage segments. I got the idea about the old buildings, interior cabinetry work, and the timelapse sky pretty quickly. Perhaps you dwelled on them too long. They seemed to get redundant. Pick the very best and scrap the rest. 4.) There was no end title with a final thought. Like, "All About Now... Yeah we do that." I dunno I'm just throwing it out there.

But really, it looked good. I wish I had footage like that to show around. These are really just minor things. You can decide if they are valid for yourself.

Great Edit. A bit too long. Some shots good. Some shots flat and boring. (like the interior house and cabinet shots). Also some shots at the beggining were whatever. But great edit and music. Take out the boring shots and condense it into a more powerful 1 minute punch. Also, leave more breathing room on the sides of your titles. Not that I'm a great business strategy man but it seems your marketing too many talents to too many people.

nice stuff.. I agree, it's a bit to long.. i'd keep it to a 2.5 min.. loose the shots of the closetes, do some really quick cuts somewhere.. all the shots seem to linger.. This being said, I HAVE NO REEL!! AHHHH!! Maybe I'll start to cut one today..

Thanks for posting dude!

You guys make some strong points, and I will take them into consideration. I will be working on this more today. I put that together in about 2 hours and before I put too much more time into it, I wanted to get some input. Also none of that footage has been CC'ed, so the shots that are flat I will try to beef up. I am open to other suggestions as well.

I updated, did some simple CC and shortened it to 2.5 mins :) This is not our demo reel. But it is of sorts. People see this video when they come to the website etc. just to grab people attention. It is only of the last 6-8months of stuff. But I guess it is again of sorts a demo. :) LOL I am loopy today. Been drying new rooms and new walk-in closets. So I am beat...

Let me know your thoughts.
