Footage that's TOO sharp

Shot some surfing at US Open today with the HVX and I used 1/1000 th 480/30p. The fast shutter makes the footage kinda too sharp. Makes for good still sequences, but watching it gives me a headache. Especially the whitewater where every drop of water is discrete. Any suggestions on softening the look, either with AE or FCP motion blur? What settings?

Back to 1/500th tomorrow.

u_u; I dunno, but please give me your too sharp settings.

HVX image tends to be as soft as baby feet for me, and I struggle trying to get a sharp, detailed image out of it without bringing out the noise.

I'd say go down to 1/250 or just even down to no shutter.
