Advice on lens

Hi. I have the standard 20x lens with the XL2 but am wanting to record some interviews. Is this lens okay - or do I need the 3X lens?

The interviews will be in a studio environment with talent recorded in front of a backdrop.

If you don't need the camera close for mic pickup and your on a tripod your proabley better off with the 20x its a sharper lens. The 3x offers better balance and allows you to get closer if your depending on your on camera mic. Hope this is helpfull
