scary import error

So i was working on something today. I tried to open new footage on my final cut hd5.1. It gave me the dreaded p2 probable incomplete or corrupt data. After freaking out i turned off fcp and checked the clips which seemed fine in all the folders . I turned on the FCP again and it allowed me to import without a hitch. But i am still a little nervous and would like answers as to what happened.

FCP's importer just doesn't work as well as it should, that's what happened. Every time they bring out a new version it seems like they fix many things and then break others.

You'll find *much* more reliable importing if you use P2 Log, or use Raylight and forget the whole import/quicktime process entirely.
