Camera Comparisons... which is my best bet?

I'm shooting a short film on Monday for my school film&TV assignment.

Our school provides us with Panasonic NV-GS180's.

My family recently purchased a camcorder, Sony DCR-TRV22E

Which would give me the best results for my film? (Don't yell at me, lol, it's the best equipment at my disposal!)

I am wanting to shoot widescreen 16:9 just for the cinematic effect! My understanding is that the NV-GS180 doesn't have image stablizer when it's in widescreen mode?

do you require image stablization for your short?

You don't need Image Stabilizer while using tripod. Go ahead with Panasonic.
