How do I find out what format video my P2 cards were shot in using an HVX200 DVCPRO HD?

I have a project that was shot in Cyprus, and I'm pretty sure everything is in PAL and 1080i, but I'm not sure which audio/video settings to select in Final Cut.

Thanks in advance for any advice you have.

I asked a similar question a while ago and if you load your clips in the P2 import box and go to the top of the box where the columns are listed and right click you can open more columns specifying what info you want shown. Some of those columns you can make visible will tell you what format , timebase, etc the footage is. I'm using FCp 5.1.4 I assume it would be similar to FCP 6. I aslo believe that FCP 6 can choose the proper format for you when you try to insert it into a timeline if you don't know what format the footage you have was shot in. It will automatically put your clips in the right format timeline.

If you have Final Cut 5.12 or above, its very simple:

Just import a single clip from the series of shots you have, in the Import Panasonic P2 Option. I do not recall if the Import Panasonic P2 Window allows you to see what format was the footage shot in or not, but that is not a problem.

Import a clip you have any doubt with to a new project (no problem with settings here, since it won't convert it to any particular format while importing) then double clip on the imported clip and go to View/ Item Properties/ Format. It should say the recording format of the clip.
