Hi. I think it would be nice if we could a Canon GL2/XM2 (same camera) Sub forum like the XL2.

What do you think guys?

Cheers,
Nathaniel

Problem is that there's not enough general discussion on those two cameras to have a subforum. It would be really empty.

Yeah, there are not a lot of GL2 users (or at least people who will admit to it  ) on the forum, so this little area is probably as good as well get. (And I don't even know what an XM2 is... :D )

That said, having had the chance to actually shoot something with my company's GL2 a couple of weekends ago, I'm even more impressed than I was just using it for I-MAG. Very nice looking footage, as far as I'm concerned. (And, honestly, I'm even more impressed with my little cheapo ZR850, because some of its footage is almost as good as the GL2. )

The XM2 and GL2 are the same cameria. In america they call it the GL2, in the UK they call it the XM2.

Thanks,

GL2s are pretty cool ive been shoorting with one for 2 years now. Too bad I didnt know what 24p was when I got it! Ha! Id support a GL2 sub category.

Had my XM2 for nearly 5 years and only this year gone to A1 but have had good results with it. It's not as bulky as the A1 and a lot lighter and less strain on you when used without any support. So yes I'd support a sub category also. I was hoping that a wedding forum was going to be formed but I guess that that has been knocked on the head because I still dont see one.

Is there anyplace where I can find XM2 footage in 25p?

It would be rather empty. But it would be good. I'd visit every once in a while. But I don't own one.

I love mine. Perfect for weddings and anything going to the web.
I'd put up some footage of the 30p stuff if people wanted it.
