ok, please don't ban me from the forums for this but i would really like to know this - does the 20X lens for the XL2 have a fixed lens hood? also, what is the minimum focusing distance for that lens?

The lenshod isnīt fixed, about the minimum focusing distance I donīt know...

Minimum Focusing Distance:
20mm (Wide macro), 1m (entire zoom range): (20x zoom XL 5.4-108mm L IS installed)
