If I have my timecodes all written down on paper (3 1/2 pages worth) Is there a way that I can capture it all WITHOUT the source tape moving? What I mean is plugging in all the timecodes first, then click Log and Capture, or Capture now, or Batch capture, and have FCP find all the timecodes and capture them.

Doing each clip one by one will take me forever!

Also can I put more than one clip in a bin or do I have to open a new bin for every new clip I want to capture?

You should be able to go under log and capture and just enter the in and out points for each clip without actually capturing from the source tape. You'll notice that the files will be added to whatever project window you have open but the files will indicate that there is no media associated with them. Once you have all of your clips logged, go to the project window and highlight all of the clips that need to be catputerd. Once highlighted go back to the log and capture window and hit batch. Now just kick back relax and let final cut do its thing.
