Hi,
I am in Australia and was thinking of getting the HPX555 which is the Japanese version of the HPX500. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the two cameras (i.e. there is also an HPX502 which has two filter wheels for instance). I am especially interested to know if the menus etc on the HPX555 can be set to be in English as I would be sure the factory preset would be in Japanese.
Any info much appreciated.
Thanks
George

The HPX555 can be set to English and (ive never seen the HPX500 in person) but from what Ive read seen its exactly the same. I had to dl the HPX500 manual.

Thanks for the info. So you have used the HPX555 and it definalty can have the menus set to be in English. What about the words on the actual camera body (on/off, menu, gain lables are they in Japanese or Eenglish?
Thanks for your reply.

All camera body words from Pana broadcast are English only - even in Japan.

mmm, I am sure I was told the HPX502 had two filter wheels. It makes me wonder if there is any difference at all then between the 500, 502 and 555 versions?
Does anyone know if there is?
Thanks
George

They should all be the same. just different numbers for different regions. The 3 or so HPX502's i've seen including the one i demoed only had 1 filter wheel which was completely clear. No CC in it at all.
