I think I got it, but I am still a little confused. If I shot my projects in 24P Normal (F5) do I select DV NTSC 48 KHZ or 23.98 in the Sequence Presets? Now when I come over to Capture Presets do I select the Advanced pulldown even though I didnt shoot on (F6)? I am supposed to remove that pulldown anyway correct? So do I select it now then remove it later? I am a bit confused on that.

If I shot all 60i video, I would select DV NTSC 48khz on both presets correct?

Another question, since I shot on 24p Normal Do I still have to remove the pulldown? All the documentation I have been reading is mainly for 24p Advanced. I can't find anything that talks about 24p Normal on FCP 4. Do I just capture at DV NTSC then go to Cinema Tools to remove the pulldown (if I need to remove it) when shooting on Normal 24p?

I am so confused!

You should just digitize and cut your 24P normal footage as if it were 29.97 footage. Just be careful not to make a cut on either pulldown frame or it may look weird.

If you really want to work in 24P sequences for your 24Pn footage, you need to convert the 24Pn source footage in Cinema Tools before you start working with it.
This may lead to some extra compression artifacts. In the future if you would like to edit in 24, shoot 24PA and then FCP4 can automatically remove the pulldown in real time.
