Hi,

I've shot a short in 24p Advanced, and when I logged my footage and batch captured, the quality was not the best and the audio seemed to be like 8 frames off?

I've read some about settings, I tried to capture in with the pulldown setting, but still cam eup with the audio off (I thought because the DVX actually does the pulldown in camera?)

Then I've read about sequence settings and wondered if that was the problem.

So...........with 24p Advanced footage, what are my capture settings and Sequence settings supposed to be set on????

The FCP4 manual doesn't describe the process that well, but look at page 346 of manual "I" for a description of how to digitize 24P advanced pulldown material (2:3:3:2)

Also, Final Cut Pro 4 includes a "DVX-100 Audio Sync Tool" allowing you to tweak the A/V sync as you see fit. It's not installed by default: Insert the installation disk, and drag the plugin from Final Cut Pro 4 > Extras > DV Camera Tuner Scripts to [your hard disk] > Library > Application Support > Final Cut Pro System Support > Plugins. When you restart FCP 4, you'll have an "Offset Audio Sync" option in the Tools menu that lets you adjust the sync for one or more selected clips. The default setting of 2 frames is usually correct for the DVX100's 24p footage.
