Hey everybody,

I just wanted to put up a quick post about a festival that I'm a creative adviser on.

The Almost Famous Film Festival www.thea3f.net (http://www.thea3f.net) has been quickly expanding in the past three years and has become a very popular 48 hour film challenge here in the Southwest and beyond.

This year we are adding a 24-hour challenge, an All-star challenge as well as an international Short Film Festival in February.

If you get a chance check out the website. There is a section called PAST EVENTS that has the top 20 films of the past 3 years available for viewing, which I think is pretty cool.

Thanks,

Jason

TO MOD: I posted this in the LINKS section also. Where is it best suited? Or are two posts OK?

Looks cool! Be looking out for my film Smuggler's Ransom. If it works within the rules, I'll submit it.

That's great Brandon. It has to be under 60 mins and been produced in 2006-2007.

Is Smuggler's Ransom available yet? I bought A Price To High, but lost it. Ironically, I'm packing to move and just found it a couple of days ago. I think it's time to watch it. :)

Let me know about SR and I hope to see it in the fest. The festival founder is one of the rare people that runs this great fest for the filmmakers. It is rapidly gaining recognition for the 48 Hour challenge alone and I'm sure the traditional festival part will be top-notch as well.

Best,

Jason

Thanks Mark. I think you should.

I obviously have to stay objective, but there are plenty of great filmmakers on this forum (you included, of course), so it would be good to see some DVXuser films submitted.

Thanks again,

Jason

Cool. It's 46 min. so we're good!

Glad you found your copy of APTH. Regarding SR, and availability, we're in talks with a distributor right now. The last step is for them to approve our DVD, and then we'll be signing the contract, so it'll be out soon, but we can arrange a way for you to get to check it out sooner, if you want :) Just let me know.

46 mins. works perfectly.

Thanks for the offer, but if you're in talks for distribution, I will wait and pay for it the correct way. :)
