If you haven't seen this ad (http://www.bravia-advert.com/paint/thead/) then check it out.
It was directed by Jonathan Glazer, whose work I'm liking more and more everyday.
Amazing.

That was pretty cool.
Was that all CGI or did they really do some stuff with paint?

It was all paint, but they digitally removed wires, rigs, people, and other stuff. There's a making of video somewhere.
Luis - TheLoneliestMonk.com? Ha! :) Thanks a lot. Between you and Terry_Lasater's "HicksDigIt.com", Isara now has a growing monopoly on domain names.

Glad you liked it PK - I saw Terry's sig, and I happen to have that domain registered...it seemed like a perfect fit.

From the website "Our latest TV ad - featuring massive paint explosions - took 10 days and 250 people to film. Huge quantities of paint were needed to accomplish this, which had to be delivered in 1 tonne trucks and mixed on-site by 20 people.
The cleaning took 5 days and 60 people. Thankfully, the use of a special water-based paint made it easy to scrape-up once the water had evaporated.
Keeping everyone safe was also an important factor. A special kind of non-toxic paint was used that is safe enough to drink (it contains the same thickeners that are sometimes used in soups). It was also completely harmless to the skin."

is this the same director that did the Sony Superball commercial in SF?
Fun stuff. Very different.

No, different guy - but they're definitley sticking with similar ideas.
Here is the 'superball' commercial for those who haven't seen it (http://www.bravia-advert.com/commercial/braviacommhigh.html)
...and while we're at it:
Here is a GREAT Guiness ad also directed by Glazer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH_fFzU2E08)
