So... I've got my 24p advanced project on a 23.98 timeline. My sound guy uses protools that can do 24 frames, not 23.98. My music guy's program does 24 frames not 23.98. How the heck can I achieve sync with my project if I'm 2 frames different every second than my sound guys?
I did try moving my project(feature length 1h35min) into a 24 timeline. Had to render forever, then everything was out of whack.
Help please!

I hate audio sync problems and have had them in Premiere and Final Cut. I'm of no use because I haven't edited in 24p yet, but I want to make one semi-technical point. Your slippage is not 2 frames per second as you say. 60i is 30 frames per second and 24p is 24 frames per second. 23.98 means you are slipping 2/100ths (i.e., 1/50th) of a frame per second. If you were slipping 2 frames a second, that would be out of sync very quickly. Thus, if you were doing 22 frames a second (theoretically speaking) and your ProTools guys were doing 24 frames per second, THAT would be out of sync 2 frames per second. Again a semi-technical detail and not much help. But I'm sure someone at this site will have the answer!
