theres an effect i have seen used a few times, but i cant seem to find it. it looks like there is a strip of film running over your fotage,you can see frames with the perforations , and its usually an orange color anybody know of a plugin for fcp that has it?
you're looking at stock footage... adobe has a series called "edit effects"

is that a plugin for fcp or do i need to get after effect? speaking of which any opinions on ae, is it worth the money? how does live type compare to it? i would assume ae is much better
no it's not a plugin.. it's actual footage of film stock, etc. You just import that footage file into your nle and incorporate it into your piece...
