Hey,
I searched the forums but couldn't find any posts that could really answer my question.
I shot a couple tapes recently. When I played the tapes back on my DVX-100b the first tape was fine, but the second had intermittent sound and a "skipping" picture.
I put both tapes in my Sony VX-2000 (what I use to capture) and both of the tapes played like the 2nd one on the DVX.
So I used a tape cleaner on the DVX and recorded another tape. This tape played fine on the DVX but not on my Sony.
This concerns me greatly. I don't want to have tapes that only play in one deck. I should add that other tapes I've shot on this camera playback fine on the Sony. Even tapes I recorded just a few days before I started having this problem.
Any thoughts? Just a case of dirty heads? I'm taking it in to be serviced anyway but I'd like to have a little idea of what the problem might be so I don't get talked into buying new windshield wipers and break pads.
;)
Thanks in advance!
Best,
Marc
