dvx100a upgrade to hd?

I heard that there was a company that if you send them your dvx for 1000 dollers they could upgrade it to shoot in hd. It sounds rediculouse to me but i wanted to know if it was true.

It's not ridiculous at all.... I own an Andromeda DVX100, and it blows the HVX out of the water.... view this thread I posted with frame grabs and footage:
