DVX tape in HVX for playback?

I'm in the process of upgrading from my DVX to the HVX and may need to transfer some SD footage shot on the DVX into FCP in the near future. Will the HVX playback a tape originally shot on the DVX? Are there any known issues trying this??

I haven't done it (I don't use tape with my HVX), but you should have no problems doing that.

Yes, the HVX will have no problems playing or allowing for the import of SD shot on the DVX. I do it all the time.

I even played a miniDV shot on a Canon. as long as its miniDV/SD you won't have a problem.
