Fading to Black.

I have noticed what looks like digital break up when my video fades to black. I only notice this when watching my video which was burned to a DVD on my flat screen TV. It looks fine on my portable dvd player and fine on my flat screen computer monitor. When watching on the TV it almost looks like its not a true black that it is fading down too. The entire video was shot at night so it goes from a dark night time shot to fade to black for transition into the next sequence of edits.

This is a problem with the cross disolve in FCP. I will usually lay a slug at the end of my video and cross disolve between my last clip and the slug. This helps bring it to a true black. Otherwise the other option is to adjust the opacity setting in the last few seconds of the clip.
