after using the small hollywood track dolly I figured 3 things out, one, you should really have larger track, at least 1 inch od, 2 the dolly needs low weight, and sand bags get in the way, and three, angled wheels would have to be better, so here is my build, it works really well.

sorry for the low quality, they are cell phone pics, so only 2mp

I will be heat bending some curved track, unless I can find some pre bent 1in od pvc, does anyone know where this can be found?

thank you

Cool, I like the adaptation of the old spreader dolly. How does the sandbag get in the way? Cant you just rest it on the spreader or tape it on or something?

Looks like a great solution. Nice work.

on the hollywood dolly I have access to, it is so light that it keeps coming of the track, so the only solution was to put a sandbag on the T bar, so we'd have the sand bag hanging over and getting snagged, or dragging the ground, it was annoying, this home made one, it heavy enough that I can give her a good hard shove, and she'll glide smoothly.

Ha. I have that same tripod dolly. What a piece of junk.

I like your modification though.

Nice work.

I'm actually pretty happy with the dolly, with and without the modifications. it's pretty sturdy, I've worked with much less quality dollies.
