I am a documentary filmmaker shooting in Nigeria. Need to shoot HD or HDV, trying to figure out the best option. Like the HVX but shooting on cards won't be practical for our situation. Does anyone have any info/experience with shooting DV or DVCPRO on the HVX, then upressing?
My idea is to shoot beauty shots and some interviews on P2, with the rest on tape in either DV or DVC PRO.

The question you always need to ask first is: "How will the footage be viewed?". That will set the target for your workflow.

You can only shoot DV to tape with the HVX.

not all true, you can shoot DV25 or DV50 to P2 which is DV.

He was talking about shooting to tape in DVCPro which was what my comment reffered to. You can only shoot DV to tape.
