Hello everyone. This is my first post.
I would like some help. I have a PAL XL1s that captures 25F.

What project should I open with Premiere Pro since it states to either open a 24P project or 60i project. I understand that there is nothing to do with the F and P matter but would the video be altered since there is that 1 frame difference.

I think that DVX's from Europe might have the same query since they capture in 25P too.

The XL1s doesn't capture 25p (it might have a Frame mode which isn't the same thing as 25F), it take pictures in 50i; but it makes no difference since you don't have to deal with pulldown. In any case there should be a preset already done for you in the DV-PAL folder. Don't use a 24p timeline since PAL resolution is greater than NTSC (720 x 576 instead of 720 x 480).

Thanks a lot Jade. I will use that preset then. I like the Xl1s but it is difficult to achieve that filmic look. Some tweaking in post may improve the result i guess.
