Please bare with me on the details. I recently shot a dance recital as a favor for a family friend. The recital was actually in two performances, each with two halves.
I never use anything but Panasonic Master tapes. However when I arrived the only tapes available were relatively inexpensive Maxell's. I ended up using 4 tapes. Near the very end of the last tape I saw the "Red X" telling me I needed to clean the tape head. I couldn't stop, and figured it could run 15 minutes or so. When I got home and reviewed the tapes they all had Blue bars across the screen for the entire duration. I would think it was just the dirty heads if it were only on the last section of the last tape. Could it be the Maxell tapes? Or could it be the heads?
