Hey,
I'm trying to build my own edit suite at home but I really don't know where to start.... I've heard that I should have the walls painted a certain colour, have the window in a certain place in relation to the computer/video monitors, have certain types of light bulbs....... What kind of audio monitors should I be using? How far apart should they be? Does anyone know anything about this???

I'm sure there are loads of things that I haven't even thought of that are basic requirements for an edit suite!

I'd really like to have an edit suite that I could do HD broadcast work in. I'm slowly building my equipment base, but I have a long way to go...

Thanks,
Alan

A dimmer is good to have, i hate it when its too bright in the room.
I have blue walls that with light its not that dark.
